Hot Drinks in the Summer?

I know it’s summer. I know everyone wants to drink ice tea and lemonade. However, there are a few hot drinks that smash the ball way out of the park and are drinkable even in the summer. According to old Asian traditions, hot drinks help with digestion and the stomach. Ever since I discovered this recipe, I have drank it as many times as possible, not only because of the “health benefits”, but because it just tastes so good. The two drinks are a lemon-lime ginger organic honey drink, and a grapefruit lemon hot drink. Recipes are down below.

Lemon-lime ginger organic honey hot drink

  • 3 slices lemon
  • 2 slice lime
  • ½ teaspoon size ginger (peeled)
  • 2 tablespoon organic honey
  • 1 cup of warm water

Wash the lemon, lime and ginger. Cut 3 slices of lemon and 2 slice of lime. Then peel the ginger and cut them into small pieces. Put lemon, lime and ginger pieces into a mug. Smash them using the spoon and squeeze juices. Then add 2 tablespoon of organic ginger. Add warm water and stir well.

Grapefruit lemon hot drink

  • ½ grapefruit
  • 2 slice honey
  • 2 tablespoon organic honey
  • 1 cup of warm water

Wash grapefruit and honey. Cut and peel ½ grapefruit and leave the fruit in the mug. Cut 2 slices of lemon and put it in the mug. Smash it with the grapefruit. Add 2 tablespoon organic honey. Add warm water and stir well.

Two Tips for both drinks: First, use a glass spoon and not silver spoon as the material will make honey nutrient disappear. Second, use warm water and not hot water as hot water will also kill the nutrients in the honey.
