DIY hair mask recipes you must try

By Revisualized.ca

I always admire those who have shiny, soft and lustrous hair. Healthy hair makes one look amazing and most importantly, confident.  In this post, I will share two DIY hair mask recipes to help you improve and make your hair shiny, smooth and strong.

Over the past years, I tried many different hair conditioning and masks on the market, and some are high quality and effective but not cheap. Two hair masks I like the most are Moroccan Oil Restorative Hair Mask and Saryna Key Damage Repair Mask. I used them once a week but these products all add up and become very expensive.

To worsen the situation, as I get older, I noticed that my hair is not always shiny. There are days when I noticed that my hair was dry and dull. It is especially worse after I spent a day at the beach or when my hair was exposed to sun UV for a long time. Sometimes, a frequent use of hash hair shampoos or dye products are the reasons to dry hair.

So, I started trying making DIY hair mask at home. The result is very surprising and encouraging. If you are looking to improve your hair and finding solution for an affordable and effective hair mask, here is two DIY recipes you must try to gain back hair shininess and save a ton of money.

1. Coconut oil + jojoba oil + honey

  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 teaspoons jojoba oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Shower cap

Mixed them together, apply to the hair and massage them. If your hair is oily, you can apply to the lower half of the hair. Cover your hair with shower cap for 30-45 minutes. Rinse well and dry.

2. Avocado + honey + Olive Oil

  • 1 avocado
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoon olive oil
  • Shower cap

Mashed the avocado, honey and olive oil together using a blender. Apply and massage through damp hair. Put on shower cap and leave them on for 30-40 minutes. Rinse well and dry.
